Daredevil Motorbike Riders and Fierce Cossack Warriors Bring the Thrills to Chatsworth Country Fair
Daredevil motorbike riders performing gravity-defying stunts and fierce Cossack warriors on horseback lead the action-packed entertainment at the 2019 Chatsworth Country Fair.
Extreme non-stop action is on the cards from the UK’s leading motorcycle display team, the Bolddog Lings, appearing at Chatsworth Country Fair for the very first time. Not only have the team appeared in some of the largest shows in the world, but they have even featured in the superhero film Captain America.
Their performance will see the best of British freestyle riding talent performing death defying tricks using the world’s largest landing ramp. The riders also go head to head in a true test of nerve to see who will throw down the biggest tricks to win over the crowd.
The Ukrainian Cossacks Stunt Team are true masters of speed and agility, somersaulting and spinning under their horses’ bellies whilst spurring each other on with shouts and yelps. First formed in 1990 to resurrect the traditions of horse drill and mounted exercise, the hardy Cossack warriors have achieved worldwide acclaim for their spectacular daredevil show and return to Chatsworth after thrilling the crowds in 2015.
Fair organiser Sarah Green said: “It’s another stellar line up for the country fair this year that we’re confident will please our regular visitors as well as those coming along for the first time. At the end of the summer holidays, there really is no better way to spend a weekend with friends and family with fantastic entertainment and lots to discover around the showground.”
Completing the Grand Ring programme will be all the show favourites including CJ’s Birds of Prey; the Poppy Parachute Team; Global Stars Aerobatics Display; British Scurry and Trials Driving; Allcomers’ Dog Racing; Vintage Cars; Pipe Bands and Pony Mounted Games. Hot air balloon lifts at dawn and dusk will once again provide a majestic sight as they serenely glide across the Chatsworth Park.
Without a doubt, the Chatsworth Country Fair offers a fantastic experience for all the family with plenty of fun and games around the showground situated along the banks of the river Derwent.
Clay pigeon shooting, archery, crossbows and catapults are just some of the activities on offer, while K9 Aqua Sports see dogs and water come together for lots of canine fun.
Foodies can sample the delights on offer in the Fine Food Village or pick up tips from the professionals in the Stoves Cookery Demonstration Theatre.
