19 November 2020. Trademark faux fur yellow Pudsey headbands with classic red, blue, yellow and green dotted ears brightened the day in the Early Years and Primary Departments at Ockbrook School last Friday, as children and teachers dressed up for a Pudsey themed non-uniform day in aid of Children in Need.

Spurred on by an informative assembly focusing on Children in Need, frenzied fund-raising by the school’s pupils resulted in donations totalling over £350.00.

Sue Worthington, Head of Primary at Ockbrook School, said: “We’re extremely proud of all the support that we received from our children and teaching staff towards such a great cause. Children in Need makes a real difference to the lives of children across the UK. It’s a charity that captures the nation’s hearts and imagination. Our small efforts helped towards a phenomenal £41,085,627 so far raised for BBC Children in Need.”

For over half a century BBC Children in Need has been raising money for young people in the UK that need help. For more information, visit www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk.
