Video is only getting bigger and more influential. In 2016, Facebook reported that 500 million people watch videos on the platform every day. YouTube tells a similar story – one billion videos are watched every day on mobile, and 300 hours of video are uploaded every minute. These statistics show no sign of slowing down with 2017 being dubbed the year of video marketing.
So, when we announced The Institute of Quarrying (IQ) would be showcasing a spectacular ‘Quarry Garden’ at RHS Chatsworth Flower Show this summer, it seemed like a great opportunity to catch up with garden designer Paul Hervey-Brookes and produce a video short explaining the work behind the project so far.
After transforming the IQ office into a temporary studio, we set to work editing the video before sharing it with the world, including press and stakeholders. Many hours of editing and multiple cups of tea later, we were extremely pleased to see regional and national press using the Quarry Garden video, including The Derby Telegraph. It was also fantastic to see such a positive reaction on Twitter after the announcement!
