Would you believe it, 2018 is almost over. Which means it’s once again time for reflections and New Year’s resolutions.
Here are just some 2018 highlights.
Happy birthday, Splendour!
We helped Splendour to turn 10 in style in July. As soon as we announced Paloma Faith as the headliner, it was all systems go with the PR campaign. On the day was a joy, as always, with 25 backstage interviews organised with artists and a special birthday cake presentation organised for Paloma; she coincidently shared her birthday with Nottinghamshire’s biggest music festival.
A journey of discovery
Two years on from our first visit to the world’s largest rail supply exhibition, we were back in Berlin for InnoTrans 2018. The record-breaking event saw 3,062 exhibitors from 61 countries. Visiting on behalf of engineering solutions business client, L.B. Foster Europe, we met past, present and future customers, representatives of the Department for Trade & Industry and a senior UK government minister. It was also a great opportunity to meet journalists from the UK and European rail press.
Visit from @ChrisGraylingMP first thing today to meet Phil Chester our head of marketing @InnoTrans for a conversation about UK government support. Thanks @railindustry and @tradegovukGRC for organising #InnoTrans2018 pic.twitter.com/okS5Cfr4P0

Chatsworth goes bling
The press call we organised for the season opening of ‘Chatsworth Renewed’ was one of our busiest ever. Broadcast, print and online media all heavily featured the biggest restoration and conservation of the house, garden and park since the 1820s. Highlights include ITN News, ITV Calendar and BBC East Midlands Today; The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, and Daily Mail; plus several key regional titles.
We’ve had a blast with our lovely client, Institute of Quarrying (IQ). Pun intended. Cast your minds back to last year, the membership body won a hat-trick of awards at the first-ever RHS Chatsworth. Now our integrated campaign promoting the IQ Quarry Garden won ‘Best Marketing, PR or Social Media Campaign’ at the fourth annual Association Excellence Awards in London. Result!

Automation in the pharmacy industry is really gathering pace. New client Centred Solutions is a leading provider of fully automated, high-speed pharmacy dispensing systems. We had just a few weeks to create a short film, develop a suite of new sales literature, as well as exhibition stand designs for its first appearance at The Pharmacy Show at Birmingham’s NEC and Expopharm in Munich.
