How we use social media for events
Social media support for Frank Key Builders Merchants
Raising awareness and driving footfall to the launch of a new flagship branch of Frank Key in Sheffield was the main objective of our social media campaign for the building supplies client. Faced with a new regional target audience, we launched an integrated communications strategy utilising traditional PR and advertising across radio and print, as well as on social media. With a challenge to reach potential new customers in and around Sheffield, targeted boosted posts was the best approach. And we didn’t need a huge budget to achieve results either!
In the first week of the campaign alone, the levels of engagement and reach were phenomenal. The combination of organic and boosted posts on Facebook achieved a reach more than 700 per cent the usual figure, as well as more than double the usual engagement. A steady increase of organic followers was also achieved on the back of the campaign.
On LinkedIn, we focused on organic posts only, which achieved incredible results. Profile visits were up more than 250 per cent around the day of the launch. There was also a 1,689 per cent increase on impressions.
Creating engaging content on social media is key. That’s why we edited together several short videos for Frank Key’s social media from the launch as part of the campaign too.
