L.B. Foster Company is a US based NASDAQ listed engineering business. Its growth ambitions in Europe have seen its acquisition of a number of UK businesses located across the UK. Early on it was clear that some work was required to create a group culture and cohesiveness, as well as a common visual identity.
First up we ran a series of discovery workshops with employees to get under the skin of the business, coupled with customer and senior management depths and a competitor review. Using all of this data, we articulated a group vision, mission and values, all connected to a new brand expression. This was recycled into the business and tested for accuracy and engagement. The result was hugely positive and L.B. Foster Europe’s brand expression ‘Keeping our world moving’ was born.
The new brand expresion was launched to customers at Innotrans in Berlin to much positive feedback. A series of staff briefings were conducted by L.B. Foster Europe’s leadership team with a new corporate video telling the story of how L.B. Foster keeps our world moving. Staff also received a ‘vision and values’ z-card as a keepsake about what the business stands for.
We created a comprehensive set of brand guidelines – from palette and fonts to photographic style and tone of voice. Application designs include website, social media, staff workwear, internal environments, sales literature, presentations and technical documentation.
What we delivered helps L.B. Foster keep its world moving too.
