Using the media to drive attendance at Nottingham's #1 annual music festival

How we invested in building positive relationships with the press that resulted in year-on-year growth in attendance.

Over the last decade our expert Media Relations team has worked tirelessly to get the people that matter to lend their support to Splendour Festival. The results have been spectacular. The festival - organised by our client DHP Family in partnership with Nottingham City Council - continues to grow in popularity, attracting some of the biggest names in the music industry.

It's not just about the day of the festival, our Splendour press office work starts with the media in the months leading up to the event. We apply our creativity and experience to keep the media momentum going by drip feeding details about the festival's headline artists, revealing big names that attract the headlines.

But that's just the start. We continue to feed the media with stories that keeps Splendour front and centre, whilst managing press accreditations for the day - including a vast array of local, regional, national and international photographers. Then we go full tilt over the weekend of the festival, working long hours behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly - organising live interviews with the stars and making sure everyone is where they're supposed to be at the right time. It's exhausting but great fun!
